Certified Medical Assistant - Dakota Dunes Clinic (Full-Time) 021026

REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Provides professional team-based care to patients. Assists in the continuum of care and in educating patients on their patient centered medical home.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
1. Performs general clinical care to patients. Screens patients for appropriate information.
2. Utilize knowledge and skills in the safe implementation of basic preventative and therapeutic nursing care of assigned patient/family as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes.
3. Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients and documents accurately in the patient’s chart.
4. Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions, within scope of practice.
5. Responsible for preparation of exam rooms including re-stocking of treatment areas.
6. Work collaboratively with other members of the health care team in coordination of the patient's care as evidenced by other department feedback.
7. Performs related work as required.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Provides professional team-based care to patients and assists in the continuum of care and assists in educating patients on their patient centered medical home

SUPERVISOR: Clinic Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Provide psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strength and problems related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment and/or life situation
• Formulate, develop and implement a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions
• Assist with billing for services performed and completing appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical record
• Provide quality customer service internally and externally
• Team player with outstanding interpersonal abilities
• Independent thinker
• Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills
• Strive in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Word processing and computer experience
• Clinical office setting and Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience preferred.

Ultrasound Tech - Imaging Center (On-Call) 021026

LOCATION: Family Health Care of Siouxland – Imaging Center

POSITION: Ultrasound Tech- On-Call (less than 24 hours per week)

SUPERVISOR: Imaging Center Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be credentialed through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with Ob, Abdomen (RDMS), and Vascular (RVT); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography RT(S) and Vascular RT(VS); Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Vascular (RVS).
  • Perform a variety of complex specialized tasks utilizing ultrasonic high frequency sound waves to detect abnormalities including masses, abscesses, and stones.
  • Perform ultrasound procedures, Doppler vascular examinations, abdominal studies and color-flow ultrasound, Ob-Gyn procedures as required.
  • Utilize accessory equipment such as selective transducers, multi-format cameras, printers, and PACS workstations.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures to patients. Report changes in patient condition to medical staff.
  • Provide expertise in ultrasound technology to physicians and staff to include handling instruments, operating and monitoring equipment and calling out equipment readings.
  • Collaborates in quality control of equipment and filming and obtains service as required. Establish quality control standards in ultrasound and monitor standards; ensure compliance and documentation in ultrasound for the company.
  • Proficient in the performance of ultrasound procedures. Provides direction and instruction to existing personnel and training to new sonographers.
  • Ensures correct charging of ultrasound procedures and supplies on a daily basis.
