Betty is a lifelong native of the Siouxland area with over 27 years of experience.  She is licensed as an Independent Level Social Worker. Betty provides individual and family therapy. She engages with children, adolescent, and adults.  Betty has experience across a variety of treatment settings including inpatient mental health, school social work, private practice, outpatient mental health in a medical setting and in outpatient mental health agencies. She has additional experience as being an adjunct professor and has taught at three different academic institutions.  She has extensive experience working with foster and adoptive children and families.  Betty utilizes a variety of techniques drawn from recognized therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral, Play therapy, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoeducation, Behavior Modification and Mindfulness.  Betty understands that everyone’s journey is unique, and her goal to empower each person to achieve better life balance and achieve the change they desire. Betty is passionate in providing children and adolescents a safe space to have a voice and engage in creative expression.  In addition, Betty values treating the whole person and appreciates working in partnership with each client’s medical providers.
