Certified Coder - Central Billing Office (Full-Time)

LOCATION: Family Health Care of Siouxland – Central Billing Office

POSITION: Certified Coder Full-Time (minimum 35 hours per week)

SUPERVISOR: Central Billing Office Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification as CPC or obtain certification within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of coding policies and procedures, data processing policies, procedures, and concepts.
• Experience in assigning appropriate codes using CPT, HCPCS, and ICD codes; knowledge of HCC coding.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and set procedures to transfer data into computer.
• Ability to work to precise and established standards of accuracy to enter data at high rate of speed.
• Ability to communicate clearly and establish effective working relationships with physicians and staff.
• Minimum 2 years coding experience.

      Human Resource Manager - Corporate Office (Full-Time)

      LOCATION: Family Health Care of Siouxland – Corporate Office

      POSITION: Human Resource Manager Full-Time (minimum 35 hours per week)

      SUPERVISOR: CEO

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Develops and administers various human resources plan and procedures for all company personnel.
      • Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
      • Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys, analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
      • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include open enrollment, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, assists with benefit renewals.
      • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
      • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; assists with job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; reviews and conducts exit interviews.
      • Establishes and maintains department and employee records and reports. Handles FMLA and other HR requests or questions for employees. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
      • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
      • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
      • Performs related work as assigned.

      REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

      A Bachelor’s degree and five years of HR experience required. SHRM Certification preferred.

        Medical Lab Assistant - Urgent Care (On-Call)

        LOCATION: Family Health Care of Siouxland – Urgent Care Clinics

        POSITION: Medical Lab Assistant – On-Call (less than 24 hours/week)
        *required to work 4 shifts per month
        *all shifts are scheduled per employee’s availability

        GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
        Performs technical laboratory testing in the clinic laboratory; or
        Performs a variety of support services in the clinic laboratory, provides phlebotomy services for all clients and performs limited routine laboratory testing in the clinical laboratory.

        SUPERVISOR: Urgent Care Manager

        QUALIFICATIONS:

        • Knowledge of laboratory techniques/equipment to perform routine blood and urine tests; and perform quality control checks.
        • Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results.
        • Skill in labeling and maintaining all materials for collection.
        • Skill in preparing written reports concerning the results of laboratory tests and input data into computer system.
        • Skill in making mathematical computations utilizing standard formulae.
        • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
        • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions and follow written protocols.
        • Ability to work independently and to communicate clearly, both verbally and written.
        • Computer data entry experience required.
        • Graduation from high school or GED
        • One year of medical laboratory/phlebotomy experience/certification preferred

          Medical Technologist - Morningside Clinic (Part-Time or Full-Time)

          LOCATION: Family Health Care of Siouxland – Morningside Clinic

          POSITION: Medical Technologist Part-Time (minimum 24 hours/week) or Full-Time (minimum of 35 hours/week)

          GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Performs technical laboratory testing in the clinic laboratory.

          SUPERVISOR: Medical Lab Supervisor

          QUALIFICATIONS:

          • Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory tests.
          • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
          • Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results.
          • Skill in performing a full range of laboratory tests.
          • Skills in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations.
          • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
          • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
          • Ability to read and understand information about instrumentation in laboratory field.
          • Ability to follow written protocols.
          • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
          • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, or related science, including completion of a one-year medical technology program.
          • One year of laboratory experience preferred.
          • One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
          • ASCP certification preferred

            Radiology Technologist - Urgent Care (On-Call)

            LOCATION: Family Health Care of Siouxland – Urgent Care

            POSITION: Radiology Technologist – On-Call (less than 24 hours/week)
            *required to work 4 shifts per month
            *all shifts are scheduled per employee’s availability

            Optional sign-on bonus of $2,000 available for qualified candidates committing to a minimum of 2 shifts per week.

            GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
            Operates radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic X-ray films as directed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures.

            SUPERVISOR: Urgent Care Manager

            QUALIFICATIONS:

            • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to sufficiently pinpoint area for radiography.
            • Knowledge of radiology equipment and testing.
            • Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement.
            • Skill in properly positioning patients to provide quality imaging.
            • Skill in training residents, student technologists and co-workers in equipment operation and procedures.
            • Skill in troubleshooting equipment operation and performing simple adjustments.
            • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
            • Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices.
            • Ability to identify problems, work independently and communicate clearly.
            • Completion of course in radiology technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
            • Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
            • Preference will be given to candidates who also have lab experience.

            Ultrasound Tech - Imaging Center (On-Call)

            LOCATION: Family Health Care of Siouxland – Imaging Center

            POSITION: Ultrasound Tech – On-Call (less than 24 hours/wk.) 

            SUPERVISOR: Imaging Center Supervisor

            QUALIFICATIONS:

            • Must be credentialed through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with Ob, Abdomen (RDMS), and Vascular (RVT); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography RT(S) and Vascular RT(VS); Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Vascular (RVS).
            • Perform a variety of complex specialized tasks utilizing ultrasonic high frequency sound waves to detect abnormalities including masses, abscesses, and stones.
            • Perform ultrasound procedures, Doppler vascular examinations, abdominal studies and color-flow ultrasound, Ob-Gyn procedures as required.
            • Utilize accessory equipment such as selective transducers, multi-format cameras, printers, and PACS workstations.
            • Prepare patients for procedures, explain procedures to patients. Report changes in patient condition to medical staff.
            • Provide expertise in ultrasound technology to physicians and staff to include handling instruments, operating and monitoring equipment and calling out equipment readings.
            • Collaborates in quality control of equipment and filming and obtains service as required. Establish quality control standards in ultrasound and monitor standards; ensure compliance and documentation in ultrasound for the company.
            • Proficient in the performance of ultrasound procedures. Provides direction and instruction to existing personnel and training to new sonographers.
            • Ensures correct charging of ultrasound procedures and supplies on a daily basis.
